The Sichuan Provincial Women's Federation released the full list of the Award for the March 8th Red-Banner Holders, Pacesetters and Collectives in 2021, titles for outstanding Chinese women, on March 7, the eve of the International Women's Day (March 8). Professor Ren Juanjuan from the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) was awarded the title of March 8th Red-banner Holder of Sichuan Province.

The award was granted jointly by Sichuan Provincial Women's Federation, Sichuan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. According to the list, the awards for the March 8th Red-Banner Holders, Pacesetters and Collectives were won by 10 individuals including Wang Hongning ,190 women including Zhao Xia and 100 institutions including Chengdu No. 7 Yucai Middle School respectively.

Professor Ren is one of the outstanding female teachers in Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). We hope all the female staff follow her example and take up the historical mission given by the new era to forge ahead, work hard and give full play to the unique role of women in work, family and social life and to contribute to the construction of the "double first-class" university.
