Department of Geotechnical Engineering

The Department of Geotechnical Engineering is established by merging the Teaching and Research Office of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering headed by Prof. Wu Bingkun, one of the pioneers in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, and the Rock Mechanics Research Center by Prof. Gao Quqing, one of the pioneers in Rock Mechanics and Engineering.
