Enhancing School-enterprise Cooperation and Seeking Mutual Development—the Cooperation Exchange between the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and China Railway Sichuan Shengtaicheng Investment Co., Ltd.
Professor Fu Haiying, Vice Dean of the School of Civil Engineering (SCE) led eight members, on behalf of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU). The nine members went to Heilongtan, Renshou County, and held a cooperation exchange with China Railway Sichuan Shengtaicheng Investment Co., Ltd. on April 21. Both sides had friendly and in-depth exchanges on cooperative scientific research projects, the overview of geotechnical engineering, as well as brief introduction of scientific and technological achievements.
The leaders and teachers of SWJTU present included Fu Haiying, Deputy Dean of the SCE, Professor Zhang Keyue, Zhang Junyun, Assistant to Deputy Dean of the SCE, Yang Tao, Dean of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Feng Jun, Deputy Dean of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Zhang Yingbin, Deputy Dean of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Yuan Ran, Assistant to Deputy Dean of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering, Mr. Cheng Yin and Mr. Li Dejian. The corporate guests present included Professor of Engineering Yu Haihong, Deputy General Manager of China Railway Sichuan Shengtaicheng Investment Co., Ltd., and Professor of Engineering Zhu Changcheng, Chief Engineer of China Railway Sichuan Shengtaicheng Investment Co., Ltd.
The exchange mainly included three issues for discussion. The first issue is the scientific research project of "Dynamic Catastrophe Mechanism and Key Protection Technology of Slope Engineering in High Intensity Red Bed of Heilongtan" introduced by Mr. Zhang Yingbin. He gave a detailed introduction of this project from its research background and significance, research status, content and objects, as well as practicable technical route and implementation plan.
Then, Mrs. Fu Haiying introduced the development history of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering of SWJTU. She made a discipline overview and introduced its research teams, academic achievements, and laboratory of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering. Besides, she also demonstrated the rapid development and fruitful scientific research and teaching achievements made by the Department of Geotechnical Engineering over the years.
At last, Mr. Zhang introduced the relevant matters related to the awards of declaration of scientific and technological achievements for cooperation, such as the declaration types, plans, basic information of projects and main innovation achievements.
The meeting ended up with a group photo. This exchange was conducive to advancing the innovative model of Industry-college-institute Cooperation, putting theoretical research into practice, and promoting scientific and technological innovation; it was good for broadening the field of scientific research and prospering academic research; it deepened the understanding of both sides and laid the foundation for in-depth scientific research cooperation in the future.
The cooperation exchange between the Department of Geotechnical Engineering and China Railway Sichuan Shengtaicheng Investment Co., Ltd. drew to a close successfully!
