Dear students:

Now, the epidemic situation remains grim and complex both in China and the world, with locally transmitted cases in many provinces in China, and 13 medium-risk areas in Chengdu. This round of the Covid-19 epidemic features wide spread and complex transmission channels. It requires the support, cooperation and efforts of all students to prevent and control the spread of the epidemic. In order to ensure the success of the new round of epidemic prevention and control and then guarantee the safety and health of all students, the following initiatives are issued to all students of the School of Civil Engineering (SCE):

I. Promote Awareness, Firm up ConfidenceThe epidemic prevention and control requires everyone’s efforts. All students must be fully aware of the complexity and severity of the situation of the epidemic prevention and control, pay close attention to the changes in the epidemic through the official media, and be more confident and determined to win this battle of epidemic prevention and control. No making rumors, no believing in rumors, and no spreading rumors. It is too early to relax whether you are in a medium-to-high-risk area or a low-risk area, and any mind of paralysis, battle- weariness, fluke and hesitation is dangerous.

II. Follow the Guidance, Strengthen Personal PreventionAll students must strictly abide by the epidemic prevention and control policies, and carefully monitor your health, verify personal routes, and take nucleic acid testing if necessary. Please take the initiative to report to the teachers immediately if you are a suspected case, or have a coincident route with the confirmed cases, or your health QR codes change to “red or yellow”. All CPC student members and student leaders should set examples to comply with the various deployment arrangements for epidemic prevention and control.

III. Live a Healthy Life, Keep a Peaceful Mind. All students should strictly follow personal protection measures such as wearing a mask when going out, frequent handwashing, regular ventilation, maintaining proper social distancing, keeping exercising, and strengthening the immune system. Do a good job in self-psychological adjustment, maintain a rational, peaceful and positive attitude, overcome negative emotions such as fear or anxiety, and jointly build a safety barrier.

IV. Keep Positive Attitude and Avoid Laziness in Learning. All students should adjust their learning attitudes properly, improve time management, promote learning enthusiasm and initiative such as earnestly completing the learning tasks, regularly reviewing difficult courses, increasing interaction with the teachers, and helping each other, to ensure the quality and effectiveness of online learning.

Where there is an epidemic, there is an order; to prevent and control the epidemic is to take responsibility. Dear students, let’s join hands and address the hardship together.
