1. Objectives
In response to needs of socialist modernization, SWJTU provides the programme of Urban Underground Engineering to develop high-profile professionals with basic principles and knowledge in urban underground space engineering and international vision. Graduates are well trained to engage in planning, design, construction and management in the field.
2. Basic Requirements
The graduates should be equipped with necessary technical knowledge, sound inferential abilities, required professional skills, professional ethics, interpersonal communication and cooperation abilities, and competence to take charge of planning, design, construction and maintenance in large-scale civil engineering projects.
(1) Students should have necessary knowledge in science, engineering technology, instrument, certain knowledge of humanities and social sciences, and abilities to apply the existing civil engineering techniques and to understand and apply the emerging technologies; (2) students shall have professional ethics and abilities for comprehension, application, thinking, communication and cooperation and organization and management; (3) students shall have the basic knowledge and abilities of project management.
